“Change”

My wife and I lived in a small mountain farmhouse. The windows in the den were high and we had to stand on tiptoes to see out. The rooms were small. The bedroom was eleven feet long by eleven feet wide, after putting a chest of drawers in, we had to turn sideways to get in the bed. At first that was fine, but after a while that got a little old. Something had to change. Things that need to change, seem to have a buildup period before any change can take place. Well, we decided to build a new house with more room. It seems we have to get tired of the way things are before the ground is fertile enough for change to take place. There is preparation before change is wanted. Sometimes I will work so hard that I will change clothes twice a day. How do I know that I need to change? When I am soaking wet with sweat and stink. At times we have to get very uncomfortable before we want change. When I was a little boy Mama would tell us boys to come in and clean up. We would say, but I’m not dirty. We were not uncomfortable, but she was. She was teaching us to recognize uncomfortable, on our end and others. Is it possible to make someone uncomfortable, by what I look like or am doing?

Sitting on the front porch of our new house, looking out at the cabin across the creek and our old small farm house, I feel comfortable. I got up this morning and didn’t bump into anything. Our front porch is much bigger than our old bedroom. Sometimes change takes a long time, but it comes.

At one time we were comfortable with the state of our Nation. While sitting here on the front porch it seems the same. I can get up, go inside and turn on the T.V. and see quickly that it is not the same. It has changed drastically. It is almost not recognizable anymore. There are some people that believe that we should all change to their idea of what humans should be and set out to make that change happen. Some of us have watched these changes happen, but some are like a frog in a frying pan. When the heat is turned on, the water gets hot slowly, until it’s too late, he’s fryed. That’s their goal, to fry us all, to become what their idea of design for us is. Those kind of schemers have been in charge of our Government and places of authority too many years. The water in the pan is starting to boil. Are you one of those frogs that keeps voting them in every time?

In the Old Testament, there were men called seers, Samuel was one. They were called Watchmen also. The watchman sat in towers around the protective walls of the Israelite city. They had one thing in common, they could see from an overview. They did not get caught up in the everyday things. They watched for the enemy outside the walls and unnatural changes inside. They observed from a higher viewpoint. They saw from God’s viewpoint. They are called Prophets. He sees what God lets him see. God sees it all, but to those who watch, He shows them some of the picture. That is why they can say absolutes with force.

“The enemy has pierced the wall and unnatural change is in the city. The frogs are in the frying pan and will fry unless they escape. The land groans for change. The rooms are too small to live in and a new house is coming. Sweat is good for the worker, it brings change. The complacent frog must take courage and forcefully break free. The plans of the would be designers of men and petty dictators have been exposed. By a simple man just like you, but, sent by God with golden hair and a trumpet. Change has built up for a long time, but it will not come in the way the deceivers are hoping. In one day, change will come and the ugly grip of the petty dictator will be broken. America is a graft into the tree of Israel. Our hope and heritage is in the God of Israel and any enemy of either, will discover the fierce defender of both”.

Take courage, the shape of evil may change its name from one thing to another, but he cannot change who he is. He cannot hide from God or His Seer. The word liberal is a good word for the giver, but it has become the disguise of the thief. Get out of the political squabble and look at it from an overview. God’s viewpoint.

The battle may be raging, but viewed from a higher viewpoint, you will see that there are more of us than there are of them. Change is coming.
